π How I Made a DIY Power Bank at Home | Rbot Boy
Yo fam! π
So the other day, my phone battery hit 1% and I thought, “What if I could just build my own power bank?” π€―
Sounds crazy? Maybe. But guess what — I actually did it. πͺπ
π§ What I Used:
-
Some wires
-
A small box to pack it all in (reuse and recycle π―)
⚡ How I Built It:
-
Battery Time — I carefully removed two 18650 cells and tested if they still worked.
-
Charging Setup — Connected them to the TP4056 charging module so I could safely charge them with a micro USB.
-
Boost Converter — Hooked that up so the 3.7V batteries could output a solid 5V — enough to charge any phone.
-
Switch Magic — Added a switch to turn the power bank on and off (pro touch π).
-
Pack It Clean — Placed everything neatly into a small case and taped it up tight.
Boom. My own power bank. Works like a charm. π
π§ What I Learned:
-
How voltage and current really matter when charging devices.
-
That batteries can be super powerful if used properly.
-
And most importantly, I can build things that are actually useful in real life π₯
DIY is not just about fun — it’s about learning, leveling up, and sometimes, even saving the day. π
