π§ Yo Friends!
As we know, a soldering iron is a must-have tool in the world of robotics π€. It's also super useful for small home repairs π .
In this blog, I’ll show you how I made a soldering iron at home with basic stuff. Let’s go! π₯
There is something at bottom.
π§° What I Used:
-
𧡠Copper wire – for the tip
-
π₯ Nichrome wire – heating element
-
⚡ Power source – 12V DC
-
π‘️ Heat-resistant tape – for insulation
-
πͺ΅ Wood – for the handle
-
π Electric connections – wires and connectors
π ️ How I Built It:
-
Shaped the copper wire into a pointed tip.
-
Wrapped the nichrome wire around the copper tip.
-
Connected it to a 12V DC power source with proper wiring.
-
Insulated the hot areas using heat-resistant tape.
-
Added a small wooden handle to make it safe and comfortable.
-
Tested it carefully—and boom! It worked like a charm π―
✅ Pro Tips:
-
Be careful with heat and wiring.
-
Never leave it on when not using it.
-
Don’t touch the tip when hot π¬.
Hope you liked this mini project!
