How to make a soldering iron

🔧 Yo Friends!

As we know, a soldering iron is a must-have tool in the world of robotics 🤖. It's also super useful for small home repairs 🏠.

In this blog, I’ll show you how I made a soldering iron at home with basic stuff. Let’s go! 🔥

There is something at bottom.

🧰 What I Used:

  • 🧵 Copper wire – for the tip

  • 🔥 Nichrome wire – heating element

  • ⚡ Power source – 12V DC

  • 🛡️ Heat-resistant tape – for insulation

  • 🪵 Wood – for the handle

  • 🔌 Electric connections – wires and connectors

🛠️ How I Built It:

  1. Shaped the copper wire into a pointed tip.

  2. Wrapped the nichrome wire around the copper tip.

  3. Connected it to a 12V DC power source with proper wiring.

  4. Insulated the hot areas using heat-resistant tape.

  5. Added a small wooden handle to make it safe and comfortable.

  6. Tested it carefully—and boom! It worked like a charm 💯

✅ Pro Tips:

  • Be careful with heat and wiring.

  • Never leave it on when not using it.

  • Don’t touch the tip when hot 😬.
